Ray of Frost - only when things are acid immune, and possibly not even then.Read Magic - you don't prepare this unless you need it, and once your Spellcraft is reasonably high, you won't ever need it - have it on the list, but it's really not used that often.Other sometimes good spells I skipped, and why: Open/Close - Good for trap-testing, or as a distraction.Mending - definitely of use on a regular basis.In some campaigns, it's amazing, in others it won't see much use. In general, this cantrip can save you several minutes when searching for specific objects in a cluttered room, or from a distance, or if you want to avoid any signs of disturbance. Sift - amongst the most misunderstood and belittled of cantrips - usage of this greatly depends on the GM, and how they interpret Perception Check rules.Mage Hand - fairly useful on a regular basis.This is your all-purpose cantrip, and the basic "Clean yourself off" aspect is pretty solid If you want to illuminate the enemies down the hall and not yourself. Dancing Lights - if you want to illuminate yourself, use a torch.Ghost Sound - Distractions abound! Also useful when combined with Silent Image.Message - Walkie Talkies!
